Elisabeth Duculan Calub is an Instructor at the University of Baguio, Philippines.

Day 1:
      The first day was a very amazing experience for me.  I get to see a real country side since I was born and raised in a city. I was able to meet real amazing people too at SCOLA.  The physical facility was just great because it gave me an overview of how houses were built way back then.  I really have a new picture of how it is in the Mid West. Also, it was a real experience for me to see a real facility of satellite communication.  I took by bachelor's degree as an Electronics Engineer and these stuff were just all in books.  It's my first time to see a real satellite communication set-up and I'm sure my students for this coming semester would be very happy to hear about it when I get home.  It's nice to know to that people here in SCOLA are so much interested in the culture of other countries, and that for me is an amazing thing because not lots of people would be interested in this kind of stuff.  I hope that people in my place would also appreciate their own culture the way that SCOLA appreciates them.

     I'm really so excited in this training and really expecting to learn new things.  Thank you SCOLA for giving me that opportunity.
